Have you ever been in the middle of a project - and the power has gone out? Either because of an accident, utility work, Winter storms, or maybe that sudden thunderstorm in the Summer?
Regardless if you have a longarm quilting machine or not, you have made an investment into some type of technology - so why not make a small investment to protect it?
I bought a battery backup uninterruptible power supply (UPS) with surge protection for my longarm. It was the best small investment I made.
My family now has a battery backup on our all TVs.
You could also use it on sewing machines, embroidery machines, computers, or any technology really.
The best part is, even if the power does not go out, the battery backup does its job by regulating all the electricity that is constantly surging.
My longarm quilting machine has a computer on it - and there has been a few times, where I have been in the middle of a quilt, and the power goes out. I have been saved by having my machine plugged into this battery backup. It has enough battery power to last at minimum, an hour when the electricity goes out. I have quilted in the dark several times. I get the row completed I am working on, then safely power down. It gives me the peace of mind that no stitches will be skipped, and no funky pattern turns. The machine doesn't hesitate for even a second! It is truly wonderful.
The battery backup my family has 4 of currently is:
