First and foremost - thank YOU ... thank you for taking a few minutes out of your day to read my blog. Thank you for all the support you have given me over the last 9.5 years.
I spent Thanksgiving longarm quilting all day! It is the best job in the world because I get to work at home in my pajamas or fleece top/pants and I work at my own pace. It never feels like I truly work a day in my life because I love it so much!!!
I sent out an email newsletter earlier this week - if you did not receive it - I posted it on my website as well:
https://midnightquilter.weebly.com/newsletter.html
In my newsletter, I did finally state, I was only accepting edge to edge/all over quilting jobs...which leads me to say ...
It has come to my attention, by the shocked and kind of angry responsive I have gotten by at least two customers in the last 2-4 weeks - that I would not be quilting their quilt. For those of you that do not know, in the beginning of 2019 I decided, I would no longer be accepting Custom Quilt "jobs". That does not mean, I don't let a quilt or two slip into my pile now and then to custom quilt. It is nothing personal. Maybe that quilt was small, or it was calling my name, or it was a light custom quilting job. Whatever the case, please don't be angry with the person that I chose to quilt their custom quilt.
In the past with custom quilts, it always took me FOREVER to quilt them. Which is a lot of pressure and I just don't enjoy that. I want to focus on for 2020 and beyond, doing edge to edge quilts and keeping my timeline promise of 2-4 weeks, instead of stretching that out as I have done in the past. I think that is only fair. I'll throw in a custom or two depending on what it is and the timeframe.
Starting December 1st, I will be publishing the twelve day of Christmas blog - filled with products I recommend, including some non quilting items. I am excited. I am thinking about publishing it daily at 7 p.m., but we'll see. The one thing I will certainly make sure of is to writing the post daily and not making an excuse.
I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving, stayed safe during Black Friday and are looking forward to the great deals on Cyber Monday.
