I just finished reading an article - "Why Journaling Should Be On Your List of Travel Resolutions".
It was a wonderful read!
I have to say, I am very long winded when it comes to journaling on trips. I am super detail oriented, and I elaborate on way too many details. (Actually, you might already know that if you read my two backing blog posts earlier in the year LOL.) But it will be fun to go back and read those trip details that I may have forgotten for sure. This year, on a trip, I tried writing down at least daily highlights, so that when the trip was over, it was not just a big blur. It was fun to re-read those just a few days ago. I think a quick overview for journaling on a trip is the key.
My travel list of places - for either work or pleasure - included in 2019:
China
Nashville, TN
Barlett, TN
Lancaster, PA
Paducah, KY
Puerto Rico
Manchester, New Hampshire
Islip, NY
Hershey, PA
Marmora, NJ
Salt Lake City, UT
A California Road Trip on HWY 1
Hahira, GA
New York City
Houston, TX
Okay ... that list was a LOT longer than I expected .. Every trip was amazing.
I am very thankful to everyone I met along the way on my 2019 journeys.
I highly recommend - for quilters - to go to Houston and Paducah. You will not be disappointed ... you also might not see everything either - both are VERY large quilt shows.
If you are interested in international travel, outside of the quilting world - I would highly recommend China. It was one of my favorite countries - and I have been to - let me count ... I believe 16 countries. So, that is saying a lot. You truly have never seen how big a mall can be, how many skyscrapers can be in one place or what a mega city is, until you visit China. The food is so reasonably priced as well. My other top country pick is Costa Rica - it is just beautiful there. If you ever need a location suggestion for a trip, let me know.
Do you have trips planned for 2020? I can't wait to see where my journey takes me this year ... I have high hopes for big things!
